Most of my work happens one on one. Sessions are grounded in cognitive behavioral and compassion focused approaches, which means we spend time making sense of your experiences together, working to ease the distress they cause, and helping you get back to living life on your terms. This works whether you're newly navigating something unusual, have carried a diagnosis for years, or are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life stress unrelated to psychosis. Sessions are held virtually and tailored to your personal goals and values. Sessions run 50 minutes and are typically held weekly, at a rate of $200 per session (for insurance information see FAQ).

Family support can make a real difference for a wide range of mental health challenges, not just psychosis. I offer family sessions for loved ones who want to better understand what someone is going through, learn how to respond in ways that actually help, and repair strain that's built up along the way. This can run alongside individual therapy or stand on its own, depending on what your family needs. Sessions run 60 minutes at a rate of $250 per session, reflecting the added complexity of working with multiple family members at once.

For people who want clarity, whether that's confirming a diagnosis, ruling one out, or simply understanding what's going on before deciding on next steps, I offer comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluations. This includes a clinical interview, diagnostic interview, supplemental questionnaires or testing as relevant to your specific concerns, a written report, and a feedback session to walk through what it all means.
The scope of an evaluation depends on what's being assessed. Some evaluations center on a single, well-defined question, while others involve multiple overlapping symptoms or conditions that need to be carefully differentiated from one another, which takes more time to assess and interpret thoroughly. This is especially true when psychosis-spectrum symptoms are part of the picture, since they can resemble or overlap with several other conditions. Evaluations generally range from 4-5 hours total, for a single clear question, to 8-10 hours, for presentations involving multiple conditions or overlapping symptoms. This includes not just the time we spend together but also scoring instruments, reviewing relevant research, and writing your report. Assessments are billed at $200 per hour, and I'll give you a clearer time and cost estimate specific to your situation during our initial consultation.

If you're a family member trying to figure out how to support someone, or a provider looking for guidance on a complex case involving psychosis, I offer consultation outside of ongoing therapy. This might be a single conversation to help you think through next steps, or an ongoing arrangement if you need more sustained support. Consultation is billed at $200 per hour, and sessions can be scheduled as needed.
